The police have identified 42-year-old Jenny Hilario-Veras and 59-year-old Secundi Jimenez-Marrero as the couple found dead from gunshot wounds in the 300 block of South Ninth Street at 8:49 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, the Lebanon City police announced on Thursday, Nov. 9.
The police "do not suspect any outside parties are involved at this time" and have classified the case as a "Homicide/Suicide," as stated in the release.
The police investigation is ongoing.
Jonathan Gonzalez-Hilario, Jenny's nephew and her daughter's cousin is now her sole provider, he explained on a GoFundMe campaign page.
He wrote the following about his aunt:
"She was pure, kind and full of life. To my Aunt Jenny, her daughter was her world."
The GoFundMe will help cover the funeral cost, which involves sending Jenny's body to her home county of the Dominican Republic. Additionally, it will help Jonathan "ensure I am awarded temporary custody of my cousin, her daughter. As of right now, I am the only family she has in the United States," he explained.
Details about Secundi Jimenez-Marrero have not been shared publicly.
